Assistant Professor - Intraoperative Monitoring (General Neurology, Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular, Epilepsy), Academic Clinician Track

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of intraoperative monitoring and in the field of Neurology, ideally in the area of neurophysiology, but applicants with expertise in general neurology, neuromuscular, and epilepsy would be desirable for additional clinical roles in the department.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include intraoperative monitoring of patients.

Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board eligible or certified in Neurology; completing fellowship training or post residency training in intraoperative monitoring and having clinical experience performing intraoperative monitoring with board certification in intraoperative monitoring is highly desirable.

IONM INTERPRETING NEUROLOGIST

We are a rapidly growing provider of neuromonitoring services in the Midwest. Our associates are committed to ensuring clinical excellence, industry innovation, professional customer service, and exceptional patient care. We are seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurologist who is licensed in The Midwest (KY, IN, OH, IL) to join our intraoperative monitoring team. Neurologists who work with us have access to secure telemedicine capabilities that facilitate remote oversight and allow for the real-time interpretation of the patients' neurophysiologic data from the comfort of their home-office.

Job Summary

The Reading Physician will function as an integral member of the IONM team by providing professional oversight to our neurophysiologic monitoring group. This full-time role requires remote assistance to our neuromonitoring technologists in the interpretation and assessment of the functional integrity of the nervous system during surgical procedures that place these structures at risk. A secure telemedicine connection allows for immediate feedback regarding data observations as well as efficient communication with the on-site Surgical Neurophysiologist, Surgeon, Anesthesiologist and other operating room personnel.

IONM NEUROLOGY PHYSICIAN
